HEADSHOT TIPS & FAQ

WHAT TO WEAR FOR COMMERCIAL HEADSHOTS?

Commercial headshots show your friendly, relatable and engaging personality. When picking what to wear, think of warm and bright color tones. Colors that compliment your eyes or skin tone. Don’t just bring multiple color variations of the same shirt to your headshot session. Think about your personality and add a little style to it, but keep it simple. You are welcome to bring a jacket to add layers. Iron your tops beforehand and have them on a hanger to prevent wrinkles. A cloth rack and a steamer will be provided for you to use during your session.

Avoid ruffles, distracting patterns and logos. Always bring extra outfits with you just in case.

I added some examples below for you to view.

HOW SHOULD I DO MY MAKEUP

For Acting Headshots a little foundation with blush and mascara can go a long way. Think of day to day make up look.

WHAT IS THE VIBE OF YOUR STUDIO LIKE?

You are greeted with a warm smile when you walk into my photography studio. It's a minimalist style,  air-conditioned artist loft in the city of Fort Lauderdale. Studio is always kept clean and has a cozy at home feel to it. I love music, so music is always creating a good vibe in the studio. You're welcome to bring your favorite music with you or pick from my favorite playlist from Spotify.

DO YOU SHOOT IN NATURAL LIGHT OR USE STUDIO LIGHTS?

I use a three light studio setup for all of my studio sessions. I love the aesthetic of the consistent lighting no matter the weather conditions outside.

WHAT’S THE TURNAROUND TO RECEIVE MY IMAGES?

Your images will be ready 14 days from the day they are selected.

Delivered to you via a Dropbox download link. You don’t need a dropbox account to access your photos. Just make sure to download your images to your computer for safe keeping.

I’M WITH AN AGENCY, AND MY AGENCY WILL LIKE TO HELP ME SELECT MY IMAGES?

I work with agency members by providing them with an online gallery for your agency to select images. The link will be ready within 24 hours from your photoshoot. Your edited images will be ready 14 days from the day they are selected. Delivered to you via a Dropbox download link.

I HAVE AN AUDITION COMING UP AND NEED MY PHOTOS ASAP? WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

In the event you need your edited images sooner than 7 business days, we offer three options.

OPTION ONE: One image edited and ready the next day… $50

OPTION TWO: Three images edited and ready the next day $75

OPTION THREE: Your final selects edited and ready in 3 days $150

If you would like to place a rush order, please let us know as soon as possible.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY IMAGES WHEN MY PHOTOSHOOT IS DONE?

When your photoshoot is complete, I backup your folder to three different outlets. Two external hard drives that are always up to date and in a safe water proof place. The three backups are on Dropbox, so in the case you need your edited images again, just let me know and I can resend you your link.

I WOULD LIKE TO ORDER MORE IMAGES TO BE EDITED?

If you would like additional images I offer my clients a discount of $25.00 per image added on. Must be selected within two weeks from photoshoot. After that pricing per image goes back up to $35 per image.

I keep all your photos backed up on three hard drives. So even if you can't decide you want extra images six months from now, that's okay, just shoot me an email and I'll confirm your order and send you an invoice with payment details.

WHAT YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

All cancellation must be made at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled season. If cancellation is made in less than 48 hour or you are a no-show, your deposit will not be reimbursed. I always work with my client to make sure we are able to reschedule, in the event that something comes up.

DO YOU OFFER RAW IMAGES?

No, I don’t release RAW images to clients. Think of it this way, a RAW image is only half of a final work of art.

I’ve spent long hours creating my own unique style of photography. Giving out RAW is a disadvantage to you, as you hire me to create a final work of art. When you hire me you get a high quality professional edited image that you will be proud of to share on social media and promote yourself as an artist.

WHAT’S THE SELECTING PROCESS?

When your photoshoot is done, I upload your images into my computer. We then sit together and go through your session on Lightroom. I’ve created an easy selecting process for my clients to view and select their images.
